Time and a Season (for everything)

We went to the park not far from our house and sailed kites in the wind! Eric, Afton, and Eliot shared their kites with Madison, Cassidy, Grandpa and me (Grandma). We had a riot running around in the park. Cassidy said in spite of the bitter cold, she had a blast flying a kite for the first time! Madison was able to let all her string out to the end and keep her kit in the air! Afton was an expert, except for the moment she flew into a tree. Clever Eric was able to hold the string high and fly it right out of the tree! (I was too excited to remember to take a picture of his skills!)

Jimmy was cold and wanted to get in the truck! Eliot wanted to play on the toys in the park after flying his kit. One kit flew out into the street and was run over (we didn't even have it out of the wrapper yet!) But Grandpa has a plan to super glue it!

When we'd had enough fun and cold, we headed back to the house for Hot Chocolate and Split Pea Soup! (What a combination!)
