Troy is teaching a After the Bell Drum Class at Faiss Middle School that started out last week with thirty kids. He worked them so hard last week he was pretty sure a lot would not return this week. However, many more students, coming to drum!

His class grew to forty kids this week!!! All drumming on upside down buckets or mouse pads on the tables. Drum ditty drum ditty drum, drum, drum!

Troy said they sounded like a herd of elephants that are falling down a flight of stairs!
But we heard the students as they left class all excited saying, "Are we great! I am soooo good at this! Wow! This is fun!"

I'm sure next week will be...many more students, many more drums, students coming beating on drums!

I challenged Troy to have something for the students to do at OctoberFaiss (our Carnival) on October 10th. He is planning to meet the challenge. Parents will come and watch the students' drum ditty drum ditty drum, drum, drum!

This all goes back to the Music Man's famous line, "That's MY boy!"
